That notwithstanding, the Massolino wines are not as well known as they deserve to be and can typically be found at attractive prices relative to quality. This producer's wines exemplify the characteristics that define Serralunga Barolos at their finest...Medium ruby. Nose of roses, licorice, and underbrush. This medium-bodied wine shows very pretty flavors of bright, red cherry fruit and minerals with good persistence and a balsamic note on the finish. A terrific normale.
