 03/15/2010 DSWE's Debut Tasting at Jungle Jim's On March 13th, the premier Cincinatti area retailer Jungle Jim's International Market, (recently named one of the Top 25 Independent retailers in the country) hosted special guests Paolo & Allison Domeneghetti, partners of Domaine Select Wine Estates, for a DSWE tasting featuring “A Tour of Italy.” Eighty top Jungle Jim’s customers attended and experienced a wide range of DSWE’s diverse Italian wine portfolio including Corte Sant’Alda, Massolino, Villa Sparina, Velenosi, Vinosia, J Hofstatter, and Mirabile. Even a rare 3 Liter of Movia Veliko Rosso from Brda, Slovenia (with vineyards in Collio) was poured. Within less than 45 minutes following the event, ten cases of Quattro Mani Montepulciano, 2 cases of Massolino Barolo and many other wines totaling nearly 20 cases! The energy was high, the smiles were wide and the overall interest in DSWE was clear. The day was capped off with a laugh filled visit with Mr. James Bonaminio (Jungle Jim) and Mr. Dave Schmerr (Jungle Jim’s Wine Director) which included a boxing ‘heavy bag’ exhibition, a Rocky Balboa talking doll and mimicking contest, and, of course, a toast with a DSWE Italian wine or two. To wrap up the debut DSWE tasting to this great shop in Allison’s home town, Paolo and Allison could be spotted filling a cart with a whole range of tasty treats.
