Notes: Deep amber copper color with an olive rim. Perfumed dried peach, apricot, sandalwood, and spicy golden raisin compote aromas. A soft, supple entry leads to a spicy, dryish medium-full body of caramelized roasted nuts, brown spices, suede, and melange of dried summer fruits and raisin. Finishes with a warming, palate-enveloping fade of fruits, nuts, and rich peppery spices. A delicious and intriguing dark rum that will make a big impression in any cocktail with its spicy oak influence. This is a great sipping rum commonly mistaken for whiskey. A perfect compliment to a cigar, it make a huge improvement to such cocktails like Manhattan's, Rob Roy's, Old-Fashions or a Crusta. It also performs well served on its own.
